Oneness Act – Meditative Performance Art

Oneness Act

" Everything includes everything and it's impossible to be entirely separated. Nothing can be completely separated and exist independently. What was at the beginning, still exists today. Parts of everything exist in all. Laws governing their original union are present in the same way both within the small and the large. " Anaxagoras 5th century BC

Oneness Act  artistic group was founded in spring of 2019 by Marina Kalogirou (actress & facilitator), Kaifi Iraklis Kokologiannis (trainer & facilitator) and Nikos Koustenis (photographer).

Members of the group are Elena Ntosa (production manager), Giannis Stavrianos (Poet) and Adam Katsoukis (painter)

Oneness Act Method

My foundation is my connection to the source. The source is where the primordial material lies, and my connection with the text proceeds from there. It creates the right resonance, the mode of expression, the rhythm. It also creates the timbre of my voice and the physicality of my body. As long as you are connected to the source you are free to allow its flow to guide you without interjecting your own decisions. The ego is absorbed and internal space grows as long as you remain connected. Each time the mind resists, breath and the vibrations of pleasure lead us back to the source.

Meditation is the means through which we can cleanse the space and guide ourselves to the source. It is the way to remain connected again and again as we do our work.

To each mental denial I answer a “yes” and deepen even more. Instead of escaping my obstacles, I find my exit in a return, in a surrender, in a deepening.

There I remain connected, and from there arises ecstasy — freedom from myself, and a connection to something infinitely greater than my self. There I lose control and I surrender to the flow of existence, which guides me to where I must be. All dimensions disappear in my connection to the source. Existential love exists in this place, and in this place I can manifest with absolute certainty the knowledge that I am one with everything else. There is no separation. I live in unity with myself, with the text, with the role, with the space, with the audience. In this moment “all things” are in power. What I am, what I do, or better, what is happening to me, are all experienced and shared in an act of unity that the audience receives in an immediate, organic way, without the interference of the mind.

Oneness Act artistic purpose

There exists a space somewhere. Any kind of space. It could be a script, a poem, a rhythm, a musical piece, or an actual place. Any place like a neighborhood, an archeological spot, an abandoned factory or village, a real house, a theatrical scenery, a natural landscape.

The group is listening to the story told by a room, a window, a human being, a sound, or a rock. It then composes images, music, poems, an ecstatic dance, a mind-blowing confession, an explosion of feelings, an extraordinary fiesta.  Our inner space along with the space that surrounds us becomes free to any kind of interpretation, fantasy and inspiration.

The celebration springs due to my personal and deep need to unite. My personal course is united with the course of the group in a common route towards the Light.

The spiritual uplift is the exit from all the possible dark turns of our journey.

A celebration is waiting for us at the end of our journey. A celebration of life, which is anyway a gift offered to us in all of its forms.

Our artistic code is determined by the pleasure of the body, voice, feeling, and by all the personal and collective moments of this journey.

Extraordinary explosions of enjoyment uplift or just explicate songs of joy that resemble spontaneous-primitive calls...Calls that are created in the here and now from the creators themselves who swim in this pleasurable and uplifting sensation of freedom.

There is no time or space limit in this kind of creation, since the unique aim of it, is a journey of liberation within ourselves and eventually its authentic sharing with others — a true sharing that it might remind us nothing of what we know so far, while at the same time to be the primal memory of everything that we are.

This authentic truth is shared with the audience in a experiential way as an act of unification. This sacred moment of unification gives birth to completeness.

The celebration is on...
